The Story:
A really artsy fartsy piece. I wanted a sound that was "dreamy" and so I kept coming back to the idea of the Doo-wop genre. I also wanted to play with song length and write something short and sweet. And so "Curb Jumper" was born. The song is about not knowing what you've got 'till it's suddenly ripped from your hands.
lyrics
Pack up my briefcase
Poor me some coffee
I open the door and shut it behind me
Commute's a disaster
Of course I thought my feet would be faster
I'm cursing my job
When a chassis jumps the curb
The one thing I won't forget
Golden oval above her head
Lifted me up
Not a word was said
Not a word was said
